Hi Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey this is Sunny, thank you everybody for placing a comment on my blog. I am sorry that I haven´t been able to comment very often but this has been the first time I´ve been able to use the internet. (My Family doesn´t have internet) Everything here is going great, but I miss you all lots. I am in Coto Brus, the south part of Costa Rica, oh my gosh it is so nice!!!! Everything is green and the mountains are always surrounding you. I have some pictures but I forgot to bring my camera, I am in an internet cafe.
I just want to say that I don´t have pictures of the flight down to about last sunday because my host sister deleted all of my photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (300) I wanted to cry but I am taking lots and I almost have 200 now.
The bus drive down from San Jose was surprisingly fine, I thought it was strange because for lunch we had hot dogs that were cold with a pink sauce, somewhat similar to thousand island. And the bus was so nice, it was similar to a charter bus, but I think that is because it was a 6 hour drive.
In my family I have a mother named Jenny, a dad named Allan, a 15 year old sister named Yoselyn, a 14 year old sister named Juliana, and a seven year old brother Sergio. My grandparents on my dad´s side live with us as well. I have my own room with a T.V. I think that my family is considered to be pretty well off because I don´t think that Diana or Lara (exchange students) have there own room. My family is so nice and really chill. I don´t live with a family where it is an insult not to finish a meal, luckly. But I try to none-the-less becuase they alwasy stare at me while I eat asking, "Do you like the food?" after evey bite. But it is good.
Right now it is vacation, like our winter break (I am not skipping school) The first week I was down here my school had exams, so the classes were very weird. We would get to school in a big hurry and arrive a the school at 6:30, school beings at 7:00, but the class would begin until 8:00!! But that´s okay, we would hang out and play soccer with a juice box. It´s funny to me at how disorderly the classes are, there is one teacher for each subject and they rotate, so sometimes there will be classes and no teacher, people leave in the middle of class, they use there cell phone while the teacher is teaching. Students in the US you probably wish our classes were like that. They say that I am very green, that´s a slang word for smart, in math, but there math is much more simple than ours. They are learning things that we would´ve learned in 7th Grade.
Now I am done talking about the boring stuff and now, yes girls, the boys of Costa Rica.
It is true that there are many cute boys in Costa Rica, I could probably take a picture of a different boy for each of you, but one thing I noticed is, to ticos (word for costa ricans) age is but a number. One of the girls at my school is about to turn fifthteen years old and she is going out with a twenty year old! But the guys look a lot younger than they really are. The guys that are fifteen, look like they are 12 or maybe 13. Don´t worry I will take lots of Pictures.
For now that is all I can write, even though I have much more to tell. Yesterday they have a birthday party for me, It was so nice. I got the present from my mom and dad, I started crying!!!! and I love the singing card from my siblings. I will tell you more about it when I write again, hopefully soon. On wednsday we went to the pool, and yes I got sun burnt. But it kind of was my fault becuase I put on sunscreen and right after that they threw me into the pool, so it all washed off, but don´t worry, it only was on my shoulders and it hurts a little, kind of a lot. But I am fine.
I am sorry to say that I forgot the Fourth of July, isn´t that horrible. Well I still remember that on Sunday I will be 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I don´t think that we will be doing anything on my birthday, there will be some soccer games or something, but that is okay. I am in Costa Rica.
But really now I must go, I want to write more but I will another time. I miss you all, have fun with dance classes and tell me whats going on with all of you in the US. Love you guys
